At the plate, Lucas Farrar was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Carson Binder was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Berkeley Prep lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, John Carroll Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Westminster Christian on Wednesday and fell 4-3. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Colt Miller was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ayson McIntosh made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Berkeley Prep pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for John Carroll Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Everything went Berkeley Prep's way against John Carroll Catholic in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Berkeley Prep made off with a 14-0 win.
