Holliday strolled past Floydada with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 68-52. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Holliday did.
It was another big night for Keitenn Bristow, who scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 blocks. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Holliday's points. Another player making a difference was Cayden Howard, who scored 18 points along with 5 assists.
Despite the loss, Floydada still got an impressive performance from Sergio Valadez, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds. The game was Valadez's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Trevino, who scored 11 points.
Holliday's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Floydada, they bumped their record down to 9-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Holliday is on the road again on Saturday and play against Childress at 6:40 p.m. on December 9th. Childress presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Holliday in Texas (Childress is ranked 27th, while Holliday is ranked 134th). As for Floydada, they will face off against City View at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
