Basketball Recap: Mccutcheon Piles Up the Points Against Parke Heritage

McCutcheon won the last time they faced Parke Heritage and things went their way on Saturday too. The McCutcheon Mavericks claimed a resounding 71-39 victory over the Parke Heritage Wolves. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season.

Leading McCutcheon to victory were Keara Lipscomb-Allen and Lillie Graves. Lipscomb-Allen went 11 for 13 en route to 23 points and seven steals, while Graves went 10 of 13 on her way to 21 points and five steals. Graves is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Trinity Wilburn, who posted five points.

McCutcheon was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addilee Dawn Jenkins, who had 11 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Jenkins, who scored ten points and six rebounds.

McCutcheon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Parke Heritage, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-3.

McCutcheon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-51 victory against Rensselaer Central on the 18th. As for Parke Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 90-16 win against South Vermillion on the 14th.
