Kenesaw is 1-9 against Elm Creek since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Kenesaw Blue Devils will get right back to it and host the Elm Creek Buffaloes at 3:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Kenesaw sitting on three straight victories and Elm Creek on eight.
Kenesaw is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Lawrence-Nelson: they outscored them in every quarter. Kenesaw took down Lawrence-Nelson 48-29 on Friday.

Kenesaw had a senior duo take command as Avery Kelley went 5 for 11 en route to 17 points and six boards and Elise Schukei posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Those 17 points gave Kelley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Schukei, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Elm Creek humbled Axtell with a 54-15 victory. The Buffaloes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 26 points or more this season.
Kenesaw better keep an eye on Halle Knapp. She was instrumental in Elm Creek's win, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Cavenee, who earned ten points along with six assists and three steals.
Kenesaw has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Elm Creek, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Kenesaw has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Elm Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Kenesaw took a serious blow against Elm Creek in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 68-39. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kenesaw was down 37-15.
