Brookfield is 8-2 against Bunnell since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bobcats will head out to take on the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. Brookfield will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Brookfield's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Stratford with a sharp 12-0 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won five contests by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Samantha Aurrichio, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Emma Ferguson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Brookfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stratford only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bunnell ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Pomperaug 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the game before.
Kira Bryant was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Sedlock, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Brookfield pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Bunnell, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Brookfield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. However, it's not like Bunnell struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Brookfield took their victory against Bunnell in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
