After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Young Americans Christian, the Harvester Christian Academy Hawks were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They put the hurt on North Georgia HomeSchool with a sharp 54-33 victory.
Harvester Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Kaitlyn Mercier, who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mercier has scored at least 25% of Harvester Christian Academy's points. Jarielys Vargas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Harvester Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvester Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against LaGrange Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. LaGrange Academy will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. North Georgia HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
