Mitchell will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Yankton at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Last Friday, Mitchell had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 28-14 victory over Brookings. Senior Carson Max, who rushed for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Mitchell's success. In fact, with 12 tackles Max was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Yankton came up short against Riggs, falling 17-28.
Mitchell's win lifted them to 1-1 while Yankton's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Mitchell can add another positive mark to their record or if Yankton can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Mitchell's step.
