The Proctor Raiders will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Academy of the Holy Names at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Proctor couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Rome Free Academy on Tuesday, falling 59-30. Proctor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.
Meanwhile, Academy of the Holy Names' 15-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.
Proctor's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Academy of the Holy Names, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Proctor ended up a good deal behind Academy of the Holy Names in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, losing 45-30. Can Proctor avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
