After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southside, Thorsby was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Comer Tigers 55-6. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-6.
It was another big night for Braylon Carroll, who rushed for 127 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Those 225 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Lucas Jackson was Carroll's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Thorsby's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points over those games. As for Comer, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
