Two dominant guards in Cohen Edmondson and Braydon Jacob are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Lewis-Palmer Rangers will head out on the road to take on the Lutheran Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lewis-Palmer comes in on four and Lutheran on 12.
Even though Palmer Ridge scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Lewis-Palmer still came out on top. Lewis-Palmer took their game against Palmer Ridge 65-58. Given Lewis-Palmer's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Palmer Ridge is ranked 143rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lewis-Palmer relied on the efforts of Damarion Jelks, who scored 21 points, and Edmondson, who scored 22 points. Edmondson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Johnson, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Lutheran strolled past Discovery Canyon with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-43.
Lewis-Palmer has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Lewis-Palmer came up short against Lutheran in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 66-55. Can Lewis-Palmer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
