Volleyball Recap: Clear Springs Triumphs

Clear Springs won the last time they faced Clear Brook and things went their way on Friday too. The Chargers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wolverines. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Clear Springs had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-17, 25-16, 27-25.

Caylee Young paced Clear Springs' offense, picking up 19 kills. Young got some help from Mady Powell and her 21 assists. Adelyn Simpson controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Clear Springs' record now sits at 23-8. As for Clear Brook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clear Springs is set to challenge their familiar foe Clear Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clear Brook will face off against rival Dickinson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
