After flying high against the New Life Academy Bobcats last Monday, the Suffolk Christian Academy Knights came back down to earth. Suffolk Christian Academy was the victim of a rough 54-32 loss at the hands of Bethel Assembly Christian Academy on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Suffolk Christian Academy in their matchups with Bethel Assembly Christian Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Suffolk Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emery Garza, who scored ten points along with three steals, and Nora LeMay who scored three points. Garza is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
Coleen Askew continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds. Kaydee Beachboard was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Suffolk Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Suffolk Christian Academy will face off against Summit Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Summit Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Monday. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Victory Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
