After a string of four wins, the Wadley Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wadley has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Wadley saw an underclassman step up: Jaquez Wilkes scored four points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Wilkes has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.
Wadley's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. As for Faith Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13.
Wadley will take on Donoho at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Donoho is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Winterboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Winterboro is ranked 313th, while Faith Christian is ranked 334th).
