The Wilson Christian Academy Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 84-10 defeat at the hands of Living Water Christian. While losing is never fun, Wilson Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 625th, while Living Water Christian is ranked 241st).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Living Water Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaiden Cooper, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cooper has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bo Koebbe, who scored ten points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Wilson Christian Academy dropped their record down to 4-21 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Living Water Christian, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson Christian Academy will challenge Alamance Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Living Water Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenville Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Living Water Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
