The Pullman Greyhounds will venture away from home to challenge the East Valley Knights at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
East Valley will be up against a hot Pullman squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Greyhounds blew past Asotin 15-7 on Wednesday. Considering the Greyhounds have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bailee Randall made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Cromie, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Cori Stewart, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Pullman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, it was a classic East v. West duel when East Valley took on West Valley on Tuesday. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 11-9. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Pullman pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Valley, their record is now 13-5.
Pullman might still be hurting after the 15-2 loss they got from East Valley in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Greyhounds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
