 Despite the  defeat, Perry had strong showings from  Nadir Ouahbi, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown, and  Geren Kenney, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Knoxville's offense. They took a  blow against Nevada two weeks ago, falling  49-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Cubs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
 Perry's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Knoxville, they now  have a losing record at 3-4.
 Perry skirted past Knoxville  17-14 in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perry since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
