Last Thursday, Shawnee took a serious blow against Ottawa-Glandorf, falling 52-13. Shawnee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-5.
Meanwhile, Kenton earned a 34-25 victory over Van Wert on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kenton.
Shawnee dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Kenton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
Shawnee came up short against Kenton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 71-65. Can Shawnee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
