The Orem Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Payson on the road and fell 64-15. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Orem has scored all season.
Anna Thayer was Orem's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Abby Davidson held things down on the boards with two rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.
Payson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cheznie Roundy out in front who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Oaklie Jackman, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Orem bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Payson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Orem will be playing in front of their home fans against Uintah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Uintah is ranked 104th, while Orem is ranked 107th). As for Payson, they will head out on the road to square off against Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
