University Charter found their leader in underclassman Zy'Darrius Harris, who scored 20 points along with seven steals and six assists. That's the first time this season that Harris scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jaylan Austin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
University Charter's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Linden, they bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
University Charter's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Marengo at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Linden will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Hatch at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Hatch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Linden in Alabama (Hatch is ranked 229th, while Linden is ranked 466th).
