Basketball Recap: Snow Hill's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak at Home

After a string of five wins, Snow Hill's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 59-51 to the Decatur Seahawks. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Seahawks from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Decatur had a senior duo take command as Davin Chandler went 7 of 14 on his way to 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards and Noah Tucker almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Chandler has scored at least a third of Decatur's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Loring, who posted four points and eight boards.

Snow Hill's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3. As for Decatur, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Snow Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-54 win against Pocomoke on the 16th. As for Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-46 victory against Parkside on the 16th.
