Branson Beal Delivers Best Effort of Season
Branson Beal produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Albany to the win on Friday. Beal rushed for 144 yards and five touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory (which was Albany's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Beal and Albany will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cross Plains at 7:00 p.m.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Jaylen Torres stepped things up a notch to give Miles the 'W'. Torres was unstoppable, rushing for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 69 yards.
Miles' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. Torres and Miles will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Winters at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Breylon Billington Has Career Rushing Day
Breylon Billington posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made six total tackles (2.0 for loss). He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 61 yards.
For the year, Billington has averaged 4.9 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to four.

Cooper Ellison Dazzles in Miles Win
The second Miles player making an appearance here is Cooper Ellison, and for good reason. He picked up 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Cross Plains, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Ellison. Ellison picked up 71 receiving yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Buffaloes duked it out back in November of 2023.

On Friday, Albany got the W thanks in part to Chip Chambers playing the best football he has all season. Chambers threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
