New Dimensions lost against the Lakeland Christian Vikings back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. New Dimensions fell just short of Lakeland Christian by a score of 55-53. New Dimensions has struggled against Lakeland Christian recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, New Dimensions still got an impressive performance from Jeriel Martinez, who scored 32 points. The matchup was Martinez's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Carrasquillo , who scored eight points.
Lakeland Christian was led to victory by Matthew Stephens and Nate Carpenter. Stephens scored 14 points, while Carpenter scored 18 points. Stephens hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Joseph Donohue was another key contributor, scoring six points.
New Dimensions' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3. As for Lakeland Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Dimensions will square off against Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Faith Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday. As for Lakeland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Meade at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
