Beyer came out on top against Lathrop on Tuesday thanks in part to Nolan Foehringer's efforts. Foehringer pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The performance also marked the most strikeouts (three) he has had since back in February.

Foehringer's strong effort led Beyer over Lathrop and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots are a perfect 10-0 against the Spartans going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
