On the hitting side, Summer Givens made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Christina D'Agostino, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Palm Beach Gardens pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
