Henry Preloger posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He is becoming a predictor of Thacher's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).
