The Daniel Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against West-Oak on Wednesday as Daniel made off with a 46-20 win. Given Daniel's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while West-Oak is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Daniel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristyn Carrington led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Williams, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Daniel's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for West-Oak, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Daniel will take on Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Jalen Craig and Hayden Anderson. As for West-Oak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Walhalla at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walhalla has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 271 points over their last four contests.
