The Muleshoe Mules will take on the Littlefield Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Muleshoe beats Littlefield with 11 runs on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Mules put the hurt on Roosevelt with a sharp 11-4 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Mules, who have now won three games in a row.

Zoe Bustillos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Addilene Blanco was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Melanie Martens, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Muleshoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Littlefield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over Idalou on Tuesday. Littlefield has beaten Idalou the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Idalou has come to flipping the script.
Amaya McCanick was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. McCanick was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Littlefield got a massive performance out of Bryndle Ray, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Ray has posted over her last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Aleman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
The victory got Littlefield back to even at 8-8. As for Muleshoe, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Muleshoe has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Littlefield struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Muleshoe skirted past Littlefield 10-9 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Mules have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
