The Stockbridge Tigers entered their tilt with the Pace Academy Knights with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Everything went Stockbridge's way against Pace Academy on Friday as Stockbridge made off with a 31-7 win. Considering Stockbridge has won seven matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jayden "duke" Scott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. Scott is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last nine games he's played.
Stockbridge's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Kam Reese and Adam Prince who racked up five sacks between them.
Stockbridge's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Pace Academy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stockbridge will take on McDonough at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McDonough will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Stockbridge is ranked 50th). As for Pace Academy, they will be playing at home against Mt. Zion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Zion comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
