Cocalico extended the longest winning streak in Lancaster-Lebanon 2 this week by beating Elizabethtown, 42-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Toby Kreider was the best wideout in the league this week as Solanco fell to Ephrata. Kreider racked up three receptions for 82 yards. Cameron Stolztfus helped Solanco's passing attack out by catching one ball for three yards.
Nick Reitenbach was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 192 yards as Cocalico fell to the Mountaineers. Brock Gosling also contributed to the rushing game with 116 yards on the ground.
Max Daley put up the best numbers through the air as the Bears lost to Dave Gingrich's team. He finished with 10 completions for 117 yards and one touchdown. Daley's favorite target this week was Logan Farris, who caught two passes for 54 yards.
Manheim Central's Colin Fry and Taylor Geib have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Lancaster-Lebanon 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Fry has thrown for 1539 yards this season, while Geib, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 35 catches for 725 yards. Conestoga Valley's Anthony Brown leads the league in rushing yards with 1226.
The Eagles' Reitenbach needs only 62 yards against Ephrata next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 116 carries Reitenbach has accumulated 938 yard this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cocalico takes on Scott Shelley's team. At the moment, the Eagles are in first, while the Mountaineers are in sixth.
Ephrata made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,797 from 11,303. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 35-0 victory over Solanco last week.
