Basketball Recap: Addenbrooke Classical Academy Wins Going Away Against Golden View Classical Academy

Addenbrooke Classical Academy won the last time they faced Golden View Classical Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs were the clear victor by a 54-31 margin over the Golden View Classical Academy Sentinels. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Lucia Rodriguez was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 18 on her way to 19 points along with six boards and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last 14 games she's played. Chloe Brand was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 10 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Addenbrooke Classical Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Several Sentinels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocelyn Le, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 11 points. What's more, Le also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ainsley Chidester, who posted four points and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Addenbrooke Classical Academy and bumps their season record up to 12-3. As for Golden View Classical Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

Addenbrooke Classical Academy will square off against STEM School Highlands Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Golden View Classical Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 36-20 win against Dawson School on the 30th.
