The Logan Longhorns can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. Everything went their way against Springer as Logan made off with a 70-48 win. Given Logan's advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Springer is ranked 94th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Logan was led to victory by Hayden Bruhn and Mason Wallin. Bruhn dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Wallin dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Wallin hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Brock Burns, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and two blocks.
The victory was the third in a row for Logan, bringing their record for this year to 17-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48 points. As for Springer, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan and Fort Sumner/House will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fort Sumner/House will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Springer, they will head out on the road to take on Cimarron at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cimarron has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 643 points over their last eight contests.
