Seton Catholic is a perfect 3-0 against Globe since March of 2025 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Sentinels will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Seton Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Seton Catholic will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Apache Junction on Friday. The Sentinels were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Prospectors. The Sentinels not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 14-1).
Gunner Krawczyk got the start for Seton Catholic and what a start it was: he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Krawczyk has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Seton Catholic let Nathan Mulligan and Chase Ries run wild. Mulligan got on base in five of his six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Ries got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Jason Ruiz was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Seton Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apache Junction only managed five.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Globe duked it out with Ray on Monday. The Tigers lost 12-2 to the Bearcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Bearcats since April 1, 2017.
Globe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Markitos Franco, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
This is the second loss in a row for Globe and nudges their season record down to 8-12. As for Seton Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.
Seton Catholic beat Globe 5-1 in their previous meeting back in March. Do the Sentinels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
