Lincoln Southeast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mike Ngoyi led the charge by scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Taye Moore, who scored 9 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
Bellevue East's loss came despite strong showings from Ammi Williams and Trey Tolbert. Williams scored 11 points, while Tolbert scored 7 points. Williams scored a full 40.7% of Bellevue East's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Lincoln Southeast back to even at 1-1. As for Bellevue East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
