After flying high against the Oswego Indians last Tuesday, the Southeast Lancers came back down to earth. Southeast fell just short of Uniontown by a score of 35-32. Southeast was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Uniontown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Teagan Warner, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Tavernaro, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Southeast's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Uniontown, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Southeast will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Columbus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday. As for Uniontown, they will head out on the road to face off against Crest on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Uniontown: 25.6, Crest: 29.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
