Basketball Recap: Guyer Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Guyer, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Little Elm Lobos with a sharp 63-37 victory on Friday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Loss or not, Little Elm got some senior leadership from Shiloh Kimpson and Kevia Scott. Kimpson went 10 for 23 on her way to 22 points, while Scott posted five points and six steals. That was a full 59.5% of Little Elm's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Guyer pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Little Elm, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Guyer will head out to square off against Lewisville at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Little Elm, they will head out on the road to face off against Marcus at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
