Make it eight blowout wins for the Eaton Reds this season. They really took it to Sterling for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-17 victory on the road. Eaton pushed the score to 48-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.
Eaton found their leader in underclassman Delaney Reuter, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Tayla Wiedeman, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Eaton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Sterling, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eaton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Highland will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Sterling, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Weld Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 50 on Thursday.
