After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pyramid Lake, the Virginia City Muckers were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They blew past Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage, posting a 48-13 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Virginia City has posted since January 4th.
Virginia City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matley Kelley led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Kelley hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Nanna Lopez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten steals and five rebounds.
Virginia City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-18. As for Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
