After both having extra time off, the Miami East Vikings and the Greeneview Rams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Miami East has 20 straight wins, Greeneview has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Thursday, Miami East made easy work of Covington and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Miami East walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21, 25-18.

Miami East's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jersey Cutlip, who had 16 assists and 11 digs, and Kylee Bowsher, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Cutlip has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, Greeneview lost 3-0 to Madison Plains on Thursday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-9.
Greeneview's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Miami East, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Miami East has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 12.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Greeneview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Miami East's way against Greeneview when the teams last played back in October of 2023, as Miami East made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
