Christian Fellowship is 0-3 against Calvary Lutheran since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Hopefully Christian Fellowship focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
Christian Fellowship's game was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wright City.
Despite the loss, Christian Fellowship saw an underclassman step up: Ariya Barton scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Barton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Grace Heston, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Calvary Lutheran didn't have too much trouble with Tuscumbia on the road last Thursday as they won 57-40.
Christian Fellowship's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Calvary Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Christian Fellowship couldn't quite finish off Calvary Lutheran in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 51-49. Can Christian Fellowship avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
