After losing to the West Side Pirates the last time they met, the West Jefferson Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. West Jefferson took down West Side 44-30 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Jefferson.
West Side lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tommi Henderson, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Bingham, who scored six points.
West Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for West Side, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Jefferson will challenge Salmon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Side's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bear Lake at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Bear Lake will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
