Lincoln Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Beloit Sobos.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-19.
South Beloit can attribute much of their success to Macey Lineman, who had 14 assists and ten aces. What's more, Lineman posted three kills, the most she's had over her last 12 games.
Lincoln Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Beloit, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Lincoln Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Milwaukee School of Languages at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for South Beloit, they will square off against Westlake Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
