7A/6A West recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 7A/6A West this week, Fayetteville beat Rogers 35-14. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Bentonville and Rogers Heritage played the most contested game in the league this week, with Bentonville eventually emerging with a 13-10 victory.
Har-Ber's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kyle Pianalto threw for 189 and 2 touchdowns and Gus Vitt had 72 yards receiving. On the ground Sain Mathews chipped in 271 yards. Matt Garrison helped Har-Ber's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 71 yards.
Mathews provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Wildcats bested Siloam Springs. Mathews' key target this week was Vitt, who caught 3 passes for 72 yards.
He was 10-16 with 2 interceptions.
Mathews was a force in the backfield as Har-Ber topped the Panthers.
Vitt was the best receiver in the league this week as Chris Wood's team bested Siloam Springs. Garrison helped Har-Ber's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 71 yards.
Har-Ber's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pianalto has thrown for 1,166 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Vitt has 35 catches for 580 yards.
The most important game in 7A/6A West this week will be the match up between the Mounties and the Wildcats. Rogers enters the contest ranked 22nd in the state, while Har-Ber ranks ninth.
