Basketball Recap: DASH Skates Past Star Christian Academy with Ease

DASH had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They really took it to the Star Christian Academy Golden Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-46 victory. The United have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

DASH got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jason Judd out in front who went 8 for 11 en route to 18 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Judd a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Taylor, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points and eight boards.

DASH has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Star Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DASH will face off against Fayetteville O at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. DASH has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 209 points over their last three games. As for Star Christian Academy, they will square off against New Life Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
