Cody Sells Dazzles in Three Rivers Win
Cody Sells's big game helped extend Three Rivers's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Premont had no answer to Sells as he threw for 347 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score.
Three Rivers pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Sells and Three Rivers will face off against Kaufer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Daniel Martinez's Big Game Leads Santa Maria over Freer
Santa Maria found a leader in Daniel Martinez as the team took down Freer on Friday. Nobody could stop Martinez as he rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 125 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 53 yards.
Santa Maria pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cougars challenges Skidmore-Tynan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jason Galey Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Thursday, Three Rivers got the W thanks in part to Jason Galey playing the best football he has all season. Galey picked up 144 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making a tackle and defending three passes.
For the year, Galey has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 86.3 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 20.86 receiving yards per game.

On Friday, Santa Maria got the W thanks in part to Miguel Alaniz playing the best football he has all season. Alaniz threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 52 yards on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
On the season, Alaniz has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 89.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 13.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 34.29 rushing yards.
