While Sam Ross delivered a dominant effort on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Pepperell. Ross tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The performance also marked the fewest walks (three) he has had since back in March of 2024. What's more, he also racked up three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Looking ahead, Ross and Pepperell will welcome Bowdon at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Bowdon will enter the matchup having just beaten Haralson County, so Pepperell will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
