The Joseph City Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Dishchii'bikoh for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-18 win at home. Joseph City might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Joseph City was led to victory by Amber Neill and Gabrielle Jesmer. Neill scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Jesmer scored 17 points along with eight steals. Neill has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. April Neill was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
The victory (which was Joseph City's fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Dishchii'bikoh, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joseph City will take on Veritas Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dishchii'bikoh's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hayden at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Hayden comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
