The Randleman Tigers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They took down Uwharrie Charter 58-43. That's another feather in the cap for Randleman, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Audra Petty, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kadie Green, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nevaeh Staples, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Lainey Thomas was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Randleman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Uwharrie Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Randleman will stay at home for another game and welcome Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Providence Grove has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Uwharrie Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Randolph is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
