The Westampton Tech Panthers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 victory over Bordentown. The win was just what Westampton Tech needed coming off of a 73-49 loss in their prior game.
Westampton Tech found their leader in underclassman Alexander Jeanty, who scored 15 points. Jeanty set a new season high mark in steals with two. Shakur Anderson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Bordentown's loss came despite strong showings from Eunmin Choi and Andrew DeCosta. Choi scored ten points along with five steals, while DeCosta dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Hansford, who scored nine points.
Westampton Tech's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Bordentown, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Westampton Tech's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Bordentown will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Robbinsville at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
