The Cyril Pirates will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Waurika Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Cyril pushed their score all the way to 36 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilson.
Despite the loss, Cyril got a solid performance out of Nash Harman, who rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Lawrence, who picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Waurika had to settle for a 28-26 defeat against Alex on Friday.
Cyril now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Waurika, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Cyril was dealt a bruising 36-8 defeat at the hands of Waurika when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Will Cyril have more luck at home instead of on the road?
