Parkland has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Atkins Camels at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Parkland will be strutting in after a victory while Atkins will be coming in after a loss.
Even though T.W. Andrews scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Parkland still came out on top. Parkland secured a 62-56 W over T.W. Andrews. The victory was just what Parkland needed coming off of a 77-43 defeat in their prior matchup.
Parkland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Jackson, who scored 22 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was SaMaurie Moses, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Atkins, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 47-46 to North Forsyth.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kaleb Roope, who scored 13 points. Daijon Lindsay was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The losses dropped Parkland to 3-2 and T.W. Andrews to 0-4.
